Origins and meanings are compiled from public reference sources and are offered for interest. Etymologies are often disputed, transliterations lose detail, and mythological figures get compressed into a line. - use automated tools to scrape, mirror or bulk-download the catalogue;
- attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the site or its hosting;
- use the site or its content in a way that breaks any law, or that infringes anyone's rights;
- remove, obscure or interfere with any advertising or notices on the site.
6. Anything you send us
If you send a correction, a suggested name or other feedback, you grant us permission to use it to improve the site, including adding a suggested name to the catalogue, without payment or attribution. 7. Advertising and third-party links
The site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Ads are selected by Google, not by us, and their appearance here isn't an endorsement. We also link out to other sites we find useful; we're not responsible for their content, their products or their privacy practices.
